Previous Generations
Tobiasz Pieniek (b. Golub-Dobrzyn 1805, d. Golub-Dobrzyn 1848)
Ester Bezbrody (b. 1809, d, ?)
David Eleazer and Rana Temera Pieniek are the first generation in the family tree before us. Their family tree is recorded in "The Pieniek Roots" written by David Joshua Pieniek and David Leon Pieniek in 1982. Research in the JRI-Poland website provides us with information about earlier generations and additional Pieniek branches, all from Dobrzyn. We do know a bit about previous generations, starting with David Eleazer's parents. From records found in the Dobrzyn archives we know that David Eleazer was one of six children, all born and married in Dobrzyn. (The spelling of the names presented here are as they are recorded in the English translation of the Polish archives.)
David Eleazer's parents were Tobiasz and Ester Pieniek. Their family is presented below.
Their eldest son, Ber, was born in 1826 and probably died before 1860 when a nephew, Ber, was named after him. He was married and had three children. Abraham Layb was the next son, born in 1829. He too was married and had six children. The next was David Pieniek, born in 1832 and died at the age of five. Cadek was born a year after David died, in 1838. He married and had five children.
Bayla Chana was Tobiasz and Ester Pieniek's first daughter, born in 1841. She died at the age of seven. David Eleazer was born next, in 1844. Interestingly, he was named David with the added name Eleazer. Perhaps they felt it was important to have a child named David, as this was Tobiasz's father's name and they wished to keep his memory. Tobiasz's father was Dawid Pieniek, born c.1739 and died in 1799. His wife, Tobiasz's mother, was Fayga.
We do not know much about these families; many of the children did not survive to adulthood.
Dawid and Fayga Pieniek had three other children - two sisters and a brother to Tobiasz. These families are recorded in the MyHeritage family tree. Their descendants include the Mitelsbach family, a member of which is an avid genealogist and has kept up the records of that family branch.

Abraham Lewin (Layb) and Szrenia Pieniek
Abraham Lewin (Layb) Pieniek (b. Dobrzyn 1829, d. ?)
Szrenia Warszawa Pieniek (b. 1830, d. ?)

Abraham Layb married Szrenia Waszawa in 1849 and they had six children: Tobiasz Markus (Mordko) (b. 1850, d. 1852), Hena Gitel (b. 1852, d. 1861), Jacob Jozef (b. 1854, d. 1857), Chana Sura (b. 1858, d. ?), Ber (b. 1860, d. ?), and Hendel (b. 1862, d. 1863).
We do not know much about these families; many of the children did not survive to adulthood. It is possible that Abraham's son Ber married and raised a family.

Cadek and Ruchla (Karas) Pieniek
Cadek Pieniek (b. Dobrzyn 1838, d. ?)
Ruchla Karas Pieniek (b. 1838, d. ?)
Cadek married Ruchla Karas in 1857 in Dobrzyn.
They had five children: Udel (b. 1858, d. ?), Tojwie (b. 1859, d. 1861), Szymon (b. 1859, d. ?) and Genta (b. 1862, d. ?) and Nycha Fajgla (b. 1866, d. ?). Nycha Fajgla was probably named after Cadek's two grandmothers. Cadek's paternal grandmother was Fayga and his maternal grandmother was Nacha. Cadek's brother David Eleazer also named a daughter Necha Feigelcha.
